Our good friends over at Onlyumpc ran a neat little post rounding up all of the different UMPCs that are currently available. At the end-of-the-day, there are only four different UMPC models, despite there being more than double that number in UMPC offers (i.e. many UMPCs are rebranded by another company).
But never fear. There are new and very unique UMPC designs coming. I know of at least two… one from a domestic provider and another one from somewhere overseas.
I’ve seen one of these upcoming devices. And it is slick. It is beautiful in the same way that the PSP is almost a work of art. When that UMPC comes out, life will be good!

Hey there, is the slick umpc you mentioned the Averatec AHI?
Hopefully this “slick” UMPC is reffering to already awesome looking AHI, can’t wait to get some more info on it.

Hi John, is this new model a pocketable 5″ or like the 7″ screen size ones we’ve seen? Vega size? Will you get in trouble telling us about it? To be released this year?
