It has been quiet on the UMPC news front lately. Very quiet.

We’ve heard that several new UMPCs are headed our way during “the holiday season.”

I’ve seen at least one of those yet-to-be announced models.

And then there’s that whole DELL thing. Are exploding UMPC batteries just around the corner?

Lot’s of possibilities for the future… so, is this the calm before the storm?

Or did the UMPC die quietly in its sleep?

Yes, you mentioned the other yet to be announced umpc you have seen but will you give any details on it? Will you get in trouble if you mention even general specs? 7″ screen or 5″ screen? Due out this holiday season or next year? Why quiet about it?

It is a UMPC classic. 7″ screen, etc. Scheduled for Q4 release (but probably in certain regions first). I cannot talk to additional details at this time.
