With the domestic release of the R2H, all of the origianally promoted UMPCs are officially out. Wave 1 of the UMPC revolution is complete. Now the question becomes… are you buying? And, if so, when? Answer our new poll (at the right) and tell us when (if ever) you plan to invest in the UMPC platform. Then come back here and tell us why you voted the way you did.

It may just be me and the locked-down browser I have at work, but I’m getting a “Class not found” error when trying to vote in the poll or view the results.
As for when I might be buying a UMPC, unfortunately it’s not in my plans at all right now. It’s not that I don’t want one! But I already have a tablet PC and a great PDA-phone, so I don’t believe I’ll be able to conjur up the budget money (or convince my wife to let me have some) to buy another expensive device any time soon. It’s a shame, though. I’d use the heck out of one if I had it.
When Vista comes out - it’s too much trouble to upgrade…
