If you thought for just one second that the SA1F00 was “cool” you were wrong. If you thought that Sony’s UX series was the best design you have ever seen, YOU ARE WRONG!
I present you the new Samsung SPH-P9000! Even a guy like me, that have survived the last 6 months with my UMPCs without using a Keyboard or turning on my notebook, can easily be impressed by this marvel of design.
Windows XP, a 30GB hard disk, 256MB of RAM, a 5” display, a 1GHz CPU, WiMAX, CDMA EV-DO, and a 1.3Mpix camera. It measures 143×94x29mm and weights 580g.
The SPH-P9000 will be launched in Korea first half of 2007.
Wait a minute! It has a 5″ display!!! Definitely this one is not for me!

Like the new SA1F00, this one seems a little underpowered in the processor department.
To be honest, the CPU does not bother me in this one but the 5 inches display. I have been using two UMPC at 1 GHz and taking in consideration that you are running them at a very small resolution the processor is powerful enough. Via at 1 Ghz is a little bit slow but still usable.
I like it, and don’t mind the 5″ display really. It would seem that the keyboard would add a bit of heft to it that I’d rather not carry around full-time, though. Which version of XP does it have? Is it a true Tablet PC/UMPC? Is that a touch screen?
I do not have that much information at this moment, but I’ll keep an eye on it and I’ll post it if I find anything.
