Dell is used to re-brand Samsung. Samsung is releasing Q1 and like Dell X1, the new DELL UMPC will be Samsung Q1 device with the Dell's name on it. So no suppresses or doubts about this.
The good thing is that the new DELL UMPC will be available throughout the world distribution channels of Dell and will be backed up with good support and warranties. Not only this, but the prices from Dell normally are better then the prices from Samsung or theirs resellers.

They're up to something - I got a call last week to participate in a focus group and/or usability study on 'Tablet PCs'. It hasn't happened yet, so that's about all I know.

[...] Dell investing in Ultra-Mobile PCs (UMPCs)? Wow. How do people find out these things? Ultranauts and UMPCBuzz are talking about a Dell UMPC. It's not announced yet, but the facts seem to be leaking -- quickly. Could they be investing even further into the technology, and is this somehow related to the ultra-wide screen Tablet PC that Eric Mack is showing off?
[...] At this time, Dell has not announced their intentions to offer an UMPC and you might think this post is an April 1st joke. After all, Ultranauts is saying the same thing but with a little wink wink. I love the joke but we have learned to hate April 1 news days because there is tremendous difficulty in knowing what is true. However, we have verified this story and Dell is going to enter the market. [...]
